 Ms ELIZABETH MORGAN   Founder, Camerata of St John’s.

Elizabeth is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer, String Studies and Pedagogy at the Qld Conservatorium Griffith University Brisbane, a Federal Examiner for AMEB, Musical Advisor to the Board of Camerata of St John’s and Chair of Selection Panel, The Clancy Violin Award.  Previous appointments and commitments include those of Chairman of Jury, Concorso Violinistico Internazionale Andrea Postacchini, Fermo Italy 2004, advisor, tutor and conductor of Education Queensland’s MOST Programme for 28 years, a pioneering role played in the development of string playing and pedagogy in Queensland and Australia through numerous initiatives and innovations, extensive tours as teacher and performer throughout Australia, New Zealand, USA and UK, and founder of the  Australian Strings Association, 1975.

Awards and citations include Excellence in Teaching from the University of Queensland, Outstanding Leadership and Service – American String Teacher’s Association, Distinguished Service Award – Australian Strings Association, and Foundation Honour Roll of the International Viola Society ANZ Chapter.
